You can call Superdickery all you want, but this is a PSA, not a weird silver age story.
And that makes it all the more horrifying. Seriously Mr. Truth, Justice, and the American way is saying “Child abuse is wrong, but go back with your dad who intends to hit you and work this out.” To a child fleeing for his life.
